not done any thing to the cooper for a few weeks as every thing seems ok ( touch wood) but earlier i got around to getting the pics off my phone of the new engine steady bushes being fitted .... rover uprated bush and pressed into the steady with the help of some lube and a vice also got one of these its the repair bracket for when the big bolt snaps and a oil breather is fitted. the idea is very simple and works well but when it comes to fitting its a right pain in the peach as you have to work under the servo and it could have been designed much better, but its on now and the engine is now rock solid thanks to the uprated bushes

decided today that if it isn't sold by the time the vtec project is completed then this will get the same treatment, but this time it will be a complete sleeper, it will be standard to look at but have either a 1.6 vtec or the 1.8 type R vtec oh and uprated brakes

long time since last update, mainly because nothing has gone wrong how ever today whilst checking it over for its mot i found i need a new rear wheel cylinder and a set of brake shoes, so hopefully i can book the mot next week. the annoying thing i found today was one of my relativly new yokos ( about 1k miles) has a nasty gash in the side wall which means that has to be replaced aswell damn minis

peel back the gash with your fingers or blunt screwdriver. if you can see white or blue cords then replace. if not then it is structuraly fine.

Good luck for the MOT. If you havnt already put new rear shoes in, I reccomend EBC's uprated ones. Not expensive and a bit up on standard as long as the cable is in good nick and well adjusted

You cant sell it at that price! Thats even less than I bought molly for, and she was a BARGAIN! Well done for your MOT, should up the asking price if anything, not lower it!
