hi everyone ive been re-building my 1980 mini since novemba last year, it nealy finished just with a few minour things to sort out.
i have a 1275 turbo lump to go init, which has duplex timing belt, hi lift cam, oil cooler, inter cooler, dump valve, polished and ported head with heater valve blocked off, bigger ports(being done at the moment)
the shel has been deseemed apart from the roof gutter, sparyed in sapphire blue, with john cooper bonnet strips. underside of car completely underseald for protection against rust
the inside of the car has a custom dash that i made to suite me with oil, temp, fuel,voltsand boost gauge, speedo and revcounter, full cream leather with blue stiching, alley door handles winders etc... astrli 10inch steering wheel and blue carpet
it has poly bushes front and back, gaz adjustable shocks all round, heavy duty adjustable tie bars, front and rear hi-lows, braided brake hoses, 4 pot turbo calipers and vented disks, servo assited master cylinder

i do now have the car spayed in sapphire blue, with seat belts, carpet, wiring, dash, lights and boot fitted. Ile uplod them on the pc an post a few on here so you can see how she looks now. As far as me getting it on the road its nealy there, Im waiting for a few bits to arrive off ebay so that i can fit the front subframe and the engine. Give it a month and it should be Taxed, M.O.T'd and out on the open road ;-)

Nice one. Don't tell me you painted the whole car with that small compressor. When was it done, was it during the nice weather and outside or in a heated garage?

Looking really nice did you do the de-seaming yourself? loks like a very good job not sure who done the deseaming mate i had the shell off my mate in the condition it was in the first load of pics i put up, i did a few repairs to it primered it an then painted it, but im sure it was deseamed before he got hold of it as well not sure
