yeah i can see your point, but the red hot handles better with stiffer shocks, and is shorter than nemo, but the ride is real hard,,, i haven't really shot the hornet into many corners fast, mainly because it doesn't go fast, or is it the hornet is more balanced it still has the go cart feel tho,, ;D

I plan on getting 36 way gaz adjustables and the fast road spring kit. stick the dampers on the softest setting and crank them harder until it stops floating about in the corners lol ;D looking at best part of £400 though... eep.....

Woo Hoo, a subject i know something about. Welcome to the WET Mini club. My Beige one is wet and i love it. I've often thought of converting to dry, but it would spoil it's character. True, they don't handle as well as dry Minis, but when the system is working as it should, they're greeeeaaat. The Works Minis used Wet suspension during the halcyon 60s and it didn't do them any harm. When the wet system goes wrong it's a big hassle to repair them i know, but the pipes are still available in plastic (easy fit) copper and steel. The smaller bits can usually be found on ebay if you're lucky. Most of the old skool garages still have the pumps or if you're desperate i've got one here.

ive played with my shocks for two years now, on the red hot, harder, is best for cornering hard, (i love to take it to the limit) ;D then do the l2b and get outta the car like an old man the hydro only beats it because its not for thrashing around i guess, same car diffrent feel? well i do qualify for my bus pass next week

You could, of course beef the wet system up by fitting competition bumpstops front and rear, stick shockers on the front or put competition hydrolastic units on all round. (If you can find them) Rarer than rocking horse poo and hens teeth.

I think you can twaek the wet stuff by turning down the cones to lower it a little. You'd need advice from someone who knows all about it though for the amounts of machining required. I know for dry suspension it used to be cut off the amount required for a ratio of 5:1 front 3:1 back don't quote me tho (it may have been the other way round). So if you wanted the front down by an inch you had to turn it down by about 5mm (I'm crap at imperial lol)

Not quite sure what you mean by "olive system" Richy. You're welcome to lend the pump, but it's only a pressure type and not the combined Vacuum / pressure one. I still ain't fixed my other one..

I'll post some pics up in a bit and you can point out which part is leaking mate. The pumps are silly money. They are still made but only the pressure types. The old Churchill ones turn up on ebay but again fetch silly money. My working one is homemade (not by me) and works a treat.

Not a problem mate. More than welcome. Did you know that in an emergency you can pump air into the system to get you out of trouble. Here's some pics of the rear hydro system. tell me where it's leaking from.

A few more questions. When you say it won't pressure up do you mean somebody has tried to pump the system but failed.??
Do any of the pipes leak, front to rear.??
The internals very rarely give up, so i'm thinking that the valve on the rear subby rail may be at fault. Easy remedy.
