Whilst trying to sort out the electrix on the elf, I think the small round flasher unit has failed (it was slowing down and stopping) and I think I have a square one from the 87 advantage I scrapped (square metal one). Will this work ok?
I have 9-10 volts at the terminal but it don't work no more!

The square metal one is probably an original Lucas flasher unit that was used for the hazard warning lights and not the indicators.
Somerford Minis will have the correct part though.

I got a round one inside my mini for the indicators, and a square one in the engine bay for the hazards
