Hey guys been having trouble getting my mini into gear. it is fine going into gear with the engine off but if the engine is running then it just wont go in. Sometimes it will go into fourth but only just. i got a bad feeling the gearbox has gone? any ides?

had same problem last week, turned out to be the master cylinder ( it was only a few months old aswell )

just spoke to a friend who runs a garage and he said it might have something to do with the clutch.

well getting to the clutch itself and the master cylinder is easier than tearing apart the gearbox so have a look at those first

known quite a few people with this prob over the yrs + 9-10 times it the clutch

Got a similar problem at the moment (among others lol) I'm getting the clutch bled, as the pedal feels spongy and springy and the bite is right down the bottom of the pedal.

hey guys just got my mini back. turns out it was the slave cylinder. only cost me £52 with labour. cant wait to start driving again now. only problem is its going to get a lot colder in the mornings now.
