I spent last Sunday in the garage treating my Mini to a full service. Now I'm still recovering from the bad cold I caught as a result!

seemed to have lost my mojo today :-/only had a couple of hours this afternoon to do any work so didnt want to start anything too involving. Been meaning to do the lower steering column bush on the mini for a while so thought id make a start on that. after undoing all necesary bolts the column decided it didnt want to budge so got fed up and downed tools. next job was to connect up the throttle cable on the hornet. with that sorted i started the engine and the annoying rattle that i heard last week coming from the rockers had turned into a machine gun rattle. i can only assume that when the engine was built, the tappets were set incorrectly so thats a job for tomoz aswell as fitting the beam axle and rear brakes. :Pah well think i will have an early night tonight and have a fresh start tomoz :)DEAN

I had to change a sealed beam unit after 1 failed. Sorted now though. I need to service it now though as it could run a little better, i.e. starting and idling issues. Points, plugs, cap and timing. Nothing too major though.
