friend of ours who runs the deli forum we in had a scare the other day when traveling back from a campathon with the deli club, whilst traveling up the motorway the caravan he was towing decided to pass him. some cowboy had done a right bodge job on fitting towbar to his delica before he bought it ( tackwelded ) done damage to his delica + obviousely his caravan so beware if a garage fits a towbar for you don't always assume they done a good job + check it yourself

i had a dual rear wheel, long wheel base mk 3 tranny, back in the day, had a tow bar fitted by a garage in basingstoke, 300 miles later the caravan started jumping about and snaking, scary stuff! they never used the split washers, the tow bar came real loose from the tranny, long wheel base tranny = 22 foot, caravan = 25 foot, a real long rig to go wrong on you on the north circular, xmas eve, trying to get back to south wales
