I Hate Sheep

As we couldn't make Cefn Coed today for baby reasons, instead I took my son for a quick blast over the Bwlch mountain and over into the next valley.

It was freezing cold, but the Mini didn't miss a beat. The steamed up windows were a bit annoying though.

Anyway on our return journey whilst travelling back down the Bwlch, I went around one of the bends and right in the middle of the road was a Sheep that was eating the grit/salt that our local council had put on the road (yes I know that stuff is bad news for Minis).

It was a brown trouser moment, but instead of slamming on the brakes and skidding straight into it, I just somehow managed to drive around it (on the other side of the road, luckily nothing was coming the other way).

But the sheep jumped into the air when it spotted us, but thankfully didn't run in front of the Mini.

Luckily I was taking it easy as the road was very wet and slippery.

Otherwise I'd be casualty number 3 with a sheep embedded in the front of my car!

True, but I was thinking of my Mini and the mess the sheep would have made of it.

I hit one during a stage rally on Eppynt once.
Made a hell of a mess on the o/side wing.

I seem to remember that my father hit a sheep back when he owned a Ford Corsair (many years ago now).

I think that was in the days when the sheep used to roam around the place and weren't prevented from leaving the mountains.

I think that Corsair received a pretty large dent too.
