ive been working on nemo all morning,,, new points,plugs, dizzy,leads, coil, condenser, and he will not fire! not even close!! i couldent use the car because of the lop sided suspension, and now thats sorted, it wont start!!!! ahhhh

Hey Ritchie, check if there is an electric fuel pump under the rear subframe, if there is, take the fuel pipe off the top of the carb and with the ignition on there should be fuel pissin out. If not then the pump has stuck. it happened to mine a few weeks ago. If there isn't an electric pump and it is off the block then check it is pumping when someone else cranks the motor. If you have fuel then you have to go back to checking the timing and sparks. If there is a fuel pump under there and it is not working then you need to disconnect it and drop it off then remove the eight or so screw and actuate the diaphragm when the top is removed. Then try it across a battery to see if it is working if not then you may need to check the other end of the pump under the cover to see if the points are working or if like mine it is electronic. I have a couple of pics below. You need to look for one of these. The orientation of the pump can also be changed by loosening the screws arrowed below and altering the angle of the inlet and outlet.
