Dont think he's bound for the crusher just yet mate, he said they'd be taking everything of value off first, essentially breaking him for parts, then recycle whatevers left. We cant touch it until you get the cheque from the insurance guys apparantly, thats what the chappy said anyway. Have you heard off them yet? You should count your luckey stars though mate, really nasty looking  |

Well without an agreed value you cant really hope for much out of any insurance company Ok well let us know when it all goes through and then we'll be allowed to buy bits off him the guy said. |

No probs danny  I'll still be hanging around the forums, I just want to get my finances straight before thinking about buying another 'money pit' The center speedo will pull straight out, and then is easily disconnected because I wired in a headunit extension wiring plug If you need help deciphering it, drop me a pm or have a butchers at my guide which I think is upto date not sure. |

If anyone wants some quality sound deading material then theres 2 layers of this in my mini :  It's a bit like laminate flooring underlay but much much thicker. Theres a pound coin in this photo for scale :  I drove my mini without anything on the floor, bare metal, and having the standard sound deadening plus 2 layers of this stuff on top makes hell of a difference, especially with the 2" straight through exhaust. It's all inside the boot and under the back seat bench too. It's not fancy stuff so dont let pickup spares charge you the earth, i bought a big roll of it from a carboot for £4 and i could easily have done 2 mini's with it all. |
