excuse my ignorance ( yet again )
my Mpi Had two speed wipers & intermitent,
was that the motor unit or is there a seperate box of tricks controlling this.
also does anyone know if the mpi wiring colours are the same as on the older models ?
hoping to use the mpi stalks in this mini and will need to modify the loom to accept it..

Yes the MPi got a whole new type of wiring loom and it'd be pretty complex trying to get an MPi stalk set to work on an older Mini.
I believe someone tried on another Mini forum and all they got was problems.

i rember reading or being told if you can find an old metro ( A series) then they had a plug in intemitent module which plugs straight in to the mini.

Some very useful advice in those links. In the meantime i'll start looking for an old Metro and commit wiring loom butchery.

if anyone is interested in the maplins kit...a word of warning, it dosent come made up, you get a load of components and a green pcb, you`ll need to solder it all together yourself... this is what you get.....
