minis up and running now. in process of labelling fuse wires, seen a thread on here which shows the fuse items but these arent the same as mine? i have the starter relay fuse, ign fuse etc in engine bay on four block fuse box, standard untouched and 6 push turn fuses inside which were in engine bay(would have been behind air filter) and also 4 push turn fuses (note all o.e fuses) inside behind dash?? can anyone shed any light? blue i know is going to be lighting but i dont understand why the four in engine bay arent as listed in a thread on here??

Well these pages relate to most 1976-1996 Minis: - The (my) full original owner's handbook is here: - www.southwalesminis.proboards83.com/index.cgi?board=else&action=display&thread=2891But I've found the standard loom to be fine, so long as the in-line fuses (mounted behind the air filter box) don't snag and the main fuse box (mounted on the bulkhead) gets replaced once it's rear contacts corrode. Anyway the Haynes Mini manual would probably be the best place to start and the main fuse box is wired like this: - White - Green Brown - Purple Light Green/White - Light Green/Orange Red - Red/Green

the blue ones behind the clocks are for the lights, dip beam and high beem i think, Ive also replaced the glass fuses in the main fuse box and the ones behind the air filter for blade fuses but cant remember what they do....i may have it written down somewhere but the book is in the garage...lol...

ive done the inline ones behind air filter, they are now on my dash, ive also done bulkhead fusebox conversion to blade. the ones behind the clocks i am also putting on my dash. if only i had bought a fully working mini in the first place i could of marked everything up :/ .. o well. all fun and games. cheers lj for the front panel connections. can anyone give me a list of what the fuses behind the airbox are for? as mine odnt seem to correspond with ljs diagram for some reason? coonfused.com.

Haha different colours to mine
I think the inline fuse with brown and orange on the one end is for the dip beam or something
Will have to check the rest

are these as they should be? Like I said in my thread above, they should be wired like this: - White - Green Brown - Purple Light Green/White - Light Green/Orange Red - Red/GreenPlus I've provided all the in-line fuse information in the owner's manual pages above too!
