Has anyone had any dealing with him, he currently has a silver cooper on tmf (simplyminis)which has had a resto some time ago but I believe it now has a 998 fitted. I know he has upset other on here before but I am interested in the cooper but don't know how dodgy this is. It sure looks reasonable enough apart from a litle rust on the door bottom. Has anyone seen it?

was going to suggest taking a magnet and checking up the sills, scuttle, a panels, rear quarters. see if it had had a Resto or just a patch up. also test drive, and leave the engine running for as long as possible. previously one of his cars dropped its guts all over the M4 after just a few miles... oh and HPI check. he's tarted up write-offs in the past. just keep your wits about you and do everything you would do anyway when buying a mini.

Thanks fella but I have now decided to sit on the money incase something extra nice comes along and I am gonna carry on rebuilding the 1980 mayfair thats looking all poorly in the garage at the moment. It's about time I did some more work on that anyway and the weather should be on the turn shortly. (I hope).

Yeah m8, you can find it HERE but it hasn't been updated for a while. Hopefully by the end of next week the elf will have gone and it can take centre stage in the middle of the garage again. I'm going old skool mk1 stylee. I know that's been done to death but it's the look I like. Already chopped the bonnet and bought mk1 rear lamp plates so just to weld in the rear quarter and boot then work my way around it.

Yeah, also with the money from the elf, I should be able to sink some cash into quality panels etc so the end product will be better and it won't be coming out of my pocket.

That guy is a complete C**K isn't he, I also noticed on m4minis that he has bought jonboy's turbo project from him (which was originally the cooper with the reg P***XFC if I remember correctly) which was the one he kicked off about on here.

I asked about this mini and seller a few weeks ago and after the feedback stayed well clear. It's on sale in a few forums for £2200 and has been "sold" twice by RhosJ on eBay with the sale "falling through" so in my opinion I concluded it could be very very bad luck, a very bad car or mates making bids to inflate the price to what is wanted by RhosJ and accidently outbidding a genuine bidder, no negative feedback given either from these "timewasters".
The car originally sold for around £700 and was described by the original seller as a poor restro and engine problems.
Make your own mind up.

Yeah I also noticed their bids were all private bids!
