on my new loom, theres a little black box, it was inside the car on the passenger side attached to the bulkhead.....any ideas as to what it is...or does its off a L reg sprite with carbs, and had a little ariel like plug comming off it any ideas?

thanks lawson...i did think it may be that but the ariel thingy threw me a bit......oh well...its going to be removed anyway
its in a different place to the spi one i originally had on the car

maybe mine was an afterthought...lol....it was a rover alarm but it was smaller and was in the engine bay....

im pretty sure u can synchronise them with new fobs but the imobiliseris key coded to the ecu acording to a few threads on the mini forum

im pretty sure u can synchronise them with new fobs but the imobiliseris key coded to the ecu acording to a few threads on the mini forum but there is no ecu, as it was a carb model.....it was a real miss match between the spi and the carb models, i`ll be taking the loom appart anyway so it shouldnt get in the way too much

The fob on a m8's rover 400 could be reset with a certain sequence of keypresses after operating the lock manually.

thanks phil but i have only got the spi fob..its .probably different as the actual alarm box is different
