Hey all,
As you all know i didnt come on the rolling road but i've been inspired to post the results from when i did go to see Tommy. I went to see him the week before for a full health check and a bit of a tuning, the guy is a legend!
Enigine information:
Engine Size : 998cc Mods : Stage 1 Kit with K&N cone filter Fueling : Freshly reconditioned HS4 carb (waxstat), AAF needle Exhaust : Manilow freeflow manifold with twin box RC40 exhaust Wheels : 13" x 7" superlights
results prior to tuning:
Expected Result :30bhp Actual Result :43.5bhp @ flywheel, 28.5bhp @ wheels Comments : Running like a bag of bolts, never run right since i've had it!
Results after tuning:
Expected Result :30bhp Actual Result :50.0 bhp @ flywheel, 34.5bhp @ wheels Comments : Now thats more like it!
It's been like driving a different car since i've had it done, i actually look forward to driving it now.
Cheers
Marv

found it 98nm max at 70mph or 3830rpm Havnt got a clue what it means though lol That's pretty much the same as mine then and that converts to: - 72.27lb/ft @ 3830rpm?Which is considerably more than the original Rover quoted: - 61lb.ft at 3,000rpmSo your engine must have had some kind of modifications done to it as it's exactly the same as mine and we're both putting down a fair bit more power than standard?

I'll have to take the time to read through all the paperwork / receipts,, I can't see any obvious mods though
