After changing the steering rack and colm , now the drivers side wheel is closer to the front of the car than then the passenger side, any ideas as to why?

Is the distance between the back of the (front) tyres and the inner wheel arch (flitch panel) the same both sides Kelz.? The wing being close to the wheel on one side could mean the Mini suffered a shunt in the past. Cpuld be something simple like a bent tie bar which would pull the tyre closer to the wing. Have you had the front wheels tracked since all the recent changes.??
