Hi guys I've just been rebuilding my mini sprite and when I turn it over it's boiling one of the brake pipes, it's been off the road for a year now due to a gearbox rebuild and I can't wait to get it back on the road. I've put the earth strap to both ends of the top engine steady but it's obviously taking the fastest route through the pipes to the sub frame and cooking the brake juice. I've run a ''fly'' lead straight from the battery to the enging and this seems to help. Any ideas as to solve this problem, have I earthed the steady bar correct or should it be moved?

Just seen your post. Got to say the problem is a first for me. Try putting an earth strap between the flywheel end cover and the inner wing. There's a good chance the other earth strap is not earthing properly because of the rubber mounts. Also, check to see if the main battery lead (live) is not earthing somewhere on the bodywork. Most likely the front subframe.
