Is it just me or has anyone else had one of those months where the Mini seems to want to fall to bits.
over the last month my Mini has had a new gearbox. The tensioner for the aux belt has fallen off. My horn has fallen off My top engine steady bar bolt fell out and seems to be spitting out every other bolt I replace it with. My handbrake cable snapped off. My Ypiece on my exhaust is barely touching my manifold let alone keeping the exhaust gasses in untill the back box, And I think my throttle posistion sensor is on its way out.
I am probably going to find that this is a normal month for the rest of you now aint I.
Thanks for listening to my moan

Yes All worth it in the end though, and hopefully you will have at least one month of trouble free motoring in a year ;D

I think my Mini is seriously faulty, because it never goes wrong. Okay it doesn't walk through the MOT like it used to and so I have to pay out a bit to get it sorted. But apart from that it's as good as gold and is still an absolute pleasure to drive.

Yes I know, I'm probably chancing fate saying that.
But even Tommy at Willfield said it was running like a dream that fantastic day when we were all there.
Anyway I've gone and rubbed some wood just in case.
;D

Its great when your mini is running so lovely, but you can't tempt fate when it comes to minis. Glad you rubbed on wood, better to be safe than sorry ;D

I actually believe it's running better since that session on the rollers at Willfields. Perhaps Tommy blew all the cobwebs away or something? Even though he didn't have to touch anything.
Plus that and the fact I've got a new i-pod shuffle filled with all my favourite tunes so every Mini journey is like a psychedelic trip to the dark side of the moon or the heart of the sun.
Yes I've got Pink Floyd on there (amongst loads of other stuff).
So I think my Mini likes the music too.
;D

'Pink Floyd' rubbish? Actually that's what Marie said for a while, but I think she's starting to become something of a fan now. Well she likes some of their tunes, although not so much their psychedelic space rock noisy ones though. But after a recent shopping trip she refused to come into the house until I turned the volume down whilst watching and listening to their classic 1971 'Live At Pompeii' film. But then I'm amazed that old VHS copy that I bought from HMV in Cardiff some 25 years ago still plays fine and sounded good belting through our 5.1 surround sound system. Either way I've now ordered it on DVD, so it should look and sound even better and I hope Marie will be able cope with it. Let alone all the neighbours. ;D

Well she likes this song of theirs in particular (which the 'Scissor Sisters' recently covered, although their version is nowhere near as good) and it's from their movie 'The Wall'. But I have to admit to wanting to have a bloody good cry whenever I watch and hear this video because it's so sad that the little boys rat (or whatever it is) dies. Plus the guitar solo and David Gilmour's voice is amazing as ever: - This is a different version with the movies images mixed up a bit: - It's a beautiful song, but the imagery is a bit disturbing though. Anyway the boy in the film who pines for the father he never knew (he got killed serving in WWII whilst he was a baby) is actually the childhood experiences of Floyd front man Roger Waters. But the burnt out rock star he grows into whose losing his mind (as played by Bob Geldof in the film) is supposed to be Syd Barrett, who created the Pink Floyd in the 1960's and who couldn't handle the fame and so pretty much destroyed his brain by overdosing on a cocktail of drugs like LSD and then left as a result in 1968. All very sad stuff and the group were scarred and haunted by him throughout their musical career.

I'm gald I'm not the only one. But as honda says "when problems are a joy" Or something along those lines. I do agree it makes my car alot more interesting can't say the same thing about my bank balance though. And when/if I get a problem free month I will posting a new bulletin with the same title but wondering what I've done wrong either that I would have to have it off the road for a month Ainz
