why do 60s minis wipers sweep from right to left! while sitting in the car! and all the new fangled 70s minis!  sweep from the left???  any clues! ? and they park on diffrent sides of the screen? |

Is it because they are inmports?
my wipers are on the right but they got holes so i could change them to the left

have oftern wondered that myself and cant seem to find a decent answer. probably all just part of the Autsin/BMC/layland/moris/rover maddness

i think m.o.t regs changed it. as even cars like citreon piccaso etc have the drivers side sweeping towards drivers a pillar. by the way it goes it does clear more than it would if it were to go the other way...

Yes I think it was just a standard change issue? A bit like when they swapped the twin column stalks around, as prior to late 1985 the wiper stalk was on the left and the indicator one was on the right.
