Sounds cool and you'll find the original brochure & magazine advert here (click on the images to enlarge): - www.roblightbody.com/mini/brochures/british_open.htmOh and this might be of interest too: - members.lycos.co.uk/openclassic/index.htmlApart from that, use a magnet to ensure that all the panels are steel and don't consist of filler, cardboard or newspaper etc. The reason I'm telling you this is because my sister once bought a 1992 Mini British Open Classic LE from a car dealer in Newport (back in late 2001 from Monkswood Garage of Usk to be exact) and lets just say they did a damn fine job of hiding the rust and stuff. As within a matter of weeks the front wings erupted with rust and filler and it just looked awful. So don't pay over the odds (like she did), if it needs a lot of work.

They are a lovely car, it was gutting seeing my sisters go. But she's a miserable bxtch and wouldn't spend the money to sort it out properly. So the boss of Barn Hill Minis ended up buying it and I heard (via M4Minis) that although someone paid him a considerable amount of money to tidy it up, he ended up stripping it for it's interior and engine etc and I imagine he still owes the money to that boy. Either way, stay well 'clear' of Barn Hill Minis of Pengham (their website still exists, even though it hasn't been updated in years): - www.barnhillminis.co.uk/They were also known to export later model Minis to the USA with fake i.d's to get around the strict import laws there.
