Hard to say mate, could be a few things, first thing to check is points, dizzy cap and rotar arm What time you back down there tomorow? I have to go to K&J first thing and could meet you there on the way back

checked all over it all looks fine cleaned the points have to go back to work and fit a new coil

put a new coil on still wouldnt bloody start dnt know wots wrong in da end da battery went flat so couldnt do anything try and sort it out 2moro in wrk at 10 but goin in at 8:30 2 try and sort it.

Check your got petrol at the carb by taking the feed pipe off and turning it over for a moment, if it squirts petrol you know its not that. Then take a plug out and earth it to one of the head bolts with a rubber handled pliers, if you got a good spark when you turn it over then its not that either. Just work your way through the engine like that til it starts ;D

has any1 got a towrope 2 get my hubby home in da mini,hes stuck down harvester in morfa he stressed out love him,bn trying 2 sort da car out but havin no luck,we would be so gratefull please help us :-( :-( :-(

got the car home now changed the condenser changed the points put a 2hand coil on still nothing

coil? ballast or non ballast coil??? theres a major diffrence!

if it the wrong coil as we had it usually runs for about 1 min then coughs + splutters + then conks out everytime. chuck leci ignition init as far better than points + only cost us bout £10 with postage if got the right dizzy for it

Not sure if it would stop it getting any spark at the points at all, mine had the wrong type when I bought it but it still started fine, it just wouldnt drive after 5 mins

if you have a vlot meter thingy, check you have power going to the coil, also check the fuses and give them a bit if a clean or a wiggle....if u got power to the coil, check the plugs are sparking...theres always the gallon of petrol and a match option though...lol
