it starts first time now just need to look at the throttle pedal as it stuck on when i was driving down the road

most likely needs oil in the dashpot.

Could possibly be the throttle cable, just have a quick glance about and make sure the cable isnt snagged anywhere or close to anything it could snag just in case, you dont want that to happen coming off the motorway.
