It really annoys me how we're expected to get on with the BINI brigade when they can't be bothered with us.

Okay there's 2 sides to every story, but why can't they see that it's almost like trying to get 2 differing football team supporters to hang out together. It's just not going to happen and why can't they realise this?

Neither is it acceptable when some pratt starts a thread on TMF stating how all the old Minis were overheating and dying by the side of the road, whilst the sleek BINIS didn't.

Things are going to turn ugly, but stuff them as it'll be more their loss for losing me.

mate we saw stacks of minis overheated on the hard shoulder! mine being one of them!!!!!! on the way to brighton, (in a tow truck) and on the way out after we sorted nemo! lsmo suck! thats why i dont buy tickets anymore! but theres plenty of new blood who will, every year!

we had more fun for NOT! HAVING TICKETS! and a nice-ish hotel too not a frezzing camp site with no facilities!, i hate to say i told you so!

Well those who camped didn't sleep because there were parties and engines revving up all night long.

I can remember camping at Silverstone for the Minis 35th Birthday bash and we only had Katy then and she was just 2 years old.

But in the middle of the night some morons were driving around the field doing handbrake turns and the noise from their exhausts were deafening. The Police arrived at one point, but as soon as they left those morons were out again.

Luckily we'd parked our Minis in front of our tents as it wouldn't have been funny having a Mini loose control and hit us.

Anyway we stayed in the Heston Travelodge last year, but we wished we'd stayed another night instead of driving all that way home.

But at least we can say we did it, although I doubt we ever will again.

I'm really sorry to hear that, I've not had time to read the topic I'm afraid, I'm currently sat in my labcoat in transfusion but thought I'd reply so you didn't think I was being an arse hehe. Hope you're ok?

I admit to being one of the biggest (well shortest) bini haters on here but because I'm supposed to set an example and all that melarky I have to keep my trap shut, although if you heard what I was saying on the Riv Run the air was pretty blue around the large BMWs parked there (shhhh). It's supposed to be a Bini friendly forum so sadly I've got to respect that but it doesn't stop me feeling how I do about them, I just keep it off here - before I was a mod though I was one of the worst with sly comments about them. As long as I own a real classic and I can drive passed the beasts with mine and Vern's noses in the air I'm a happy lass.

You don't have to apologuise to me sir, you know I respect you more than most on here! If there's anything you feel has been handelled incorrectly I can pass thoughts on to the others? I will have a look around the removed bits of the topic later, just got some A&E stuff in at the moment.

I honestly think it's someone out to cause trouble and I see my old mate 'Roga' has appeared here again and although we share a few common interests like the real Mini and Dr Who, unfortunately he's also a BINI fan which I'm not and so we've had a bit of a disagreement over that thread about Jeremy Clarkson's comments on Mini 50.

So I honestly think the thread starter whose caused this fuss really got what he intended, i.e. lots of trouble and warnings given out. Plus me suspended too.

Had a glance through the topic and yep I'm pretty sure the original poster is a wind up merchant, the topic that is currently ongoing was also started by him/whoever they are, so they have two identical topics obviously waiting for a rise. I'm gonna keep my eye on the knob, seeing as they only registered today and all they've done is made two identical topics I'm hoping they trip themselves up pretty soon - I'll also try and do the boring bit and see if their IP address matches anyone elses. In the meantime mista, hold back the nazi things pwease for me kiss.gif These dorks aren't worth risking our Taffy for! I know I got very carried away yesterday and I feel like a right fool now because it dawned on me who is probably posting these threads.

For a start the last time that 'Roga' was here he started a thread claiming how every member here was a BINI vandal. I've also noticed 'themaninthesuitcase' has been posting here too and he's another unpleasant 'Minifinity' waster who no doubt helped see Minifinity become the ghost forum it is today. Well he drove me away for a start and if he's going to be hanging out here from now on too, then I'm off because things really will turn ugly.

When I packed in Minifinity a few years back whilst stating how I was going to join TMF instead, he stated how he'd never come back here as he hated TMF members with a passion.

So it's funny how all these nasty threads have appeared since those 2 showed up?

To be honest ##### I'm going to lie low for a while as I'll only get into hot water again as I just can't help take the bait. Even though I realise what a dummy I was for replying in the first place to what was a big wind up job.

The trouble is it looks like my friendship with The Anorak (Craig Wash) is now completely over too since he's deleted the Mainstream Cooper Register forum, which me and him worked hard to build up. Well I say we, as almost 2 years ago he press ganged me into supporting him as he'd already made me a mod, but like everything in his life, he's lost interest now.

I just knew it would happen once he sold his Mini (mainly because his misses wouldn't let him buy a brand new Heritage Shell and re-shell it to make a concourse perfect example), but he could have left that site open since it had around 140 members. So that was just really childish and he had the cheek to ask me if I was taking drugs or something yesterday and not long ago he told me to shut my trap. But things haven't been the same since I had a go at him and a few others for picking on a new member whose only crime was to call his Mini a Mini Quant!

I know people are used to his attitude, but The Anorak is just plain bloody arrogant and rude and he doesn't behave like that face to face with people, so why do it here on-line?

It's generally all peace and love with me unless someone starts dissing the Mini in favour of the BINI and that troll is 'Real Mini Bashing' and yet nothing is being done about it. So why are there double standards at play here when 'BINI Bashing' isn't allowed?

Anyway I've had a earful off my misses as instead of spending so much time on Mini forums defending the Mini and getting into fights etc, I should be helping her out with the baby and other more important stuff. So she's right and I'm an old fool whose passion for the original Mini is getting out of hand.

But apart from wishing BMW had never bought the Mini name, I just can't understand why people don't realise that it's an 'us and them' situation with the Mini and BINI and trying to force the owners of both together and trying to get on just isn't going to work as you wouldn't expect 2 differing football team supporters to get on now would you? So with BMW's behaviour and the attitude of BINI owners (okay I know there's 2 sides to every story) it's not going to work and with 'Roga' and 'themaninthesuitcase' here, you can be sure that there's going to be trouble.

So perhaps I will one day, but I've got no time to do it at the moment.

I used to be a member on minifinity in the early days, once it started to be taken over by the mag and then the bini owners it fell apart, It has been on the cards for the last 12 months that theminiforum is going along the same lines. They started charging members to be able to get full use of thier site and benifits (TMF+) and they are also very reliant ( or sucking upto ) quite a few mini suppliers.
It will thier loss, Stick with what you love mate, Don't let them get under your skin

That's how I was and I also posted up quite a few YouTube video's including 2 that were on Watchdog.

All isn't well on The Mini Forum and I've been told a few home truths by that friendly Moderator whose had such a rubbish time that she's even had a breakdown over it all.

So I told her to pack it in if it's not fun anymore. Or at least stop being a mod out of duty because it's only voluntary and life is far too short to be putting up with rubbish and getting upset.

Hopefully she won't sell her Mini, but just have a rest from the scene for a while, like what I did a few years back.

God knows we've had enough upset here over the past couple of months and I just stayed out of it as it's not fun and this is a nice forum with nice people.

Unfortunately some of the ones who left didn't like being told off (no surprises there though) and so now there's yet another break away group and their acting childish too.

Anyway I'm glad I'm not a mod or a chairman as putting up with those childish idiots aren't much fun.

They won't drag me down, but I did feel pretty lousy last night after I'd seen what my ex-mate had done. I'd put a lot of effort into that place and I didn't even get a warning. But I really expected it to happen although it was still a shock.

But that Mini Forum mod said that she'd noticed his attitude towards others getting worst and worst, so why wasn't something done about it?

It's a breath of fresh air coming on here as everyone is friendly, so I'll be leaving the big forums be for now as their not worth the aggro.

You get my support all the way, there is only one Mini and will always be the only one. Bini's are like the Ford KA, just another fad that try to be something they never will be. Sales figures don't mean it is something more popular, I compare the Bini and its owners to Lemmings, the white cliffs of Dover i find to be a very good car park for those Binis.
Any way the L2B started as something so small that has grown over the years, however it is only a run that leaves a embarrassing city and arrive at another not so appealing place, if only those individuals were lucky enough to take part in the Cardiff to Holyhead Run 2010 then they would see real roads and outstanding countryside, those roads were made for Minis, done the run so many times and it never ceases to amaze me, South to North, now theres an idea, LSMOC would find it hard to beat, especially as it would only be open to the TRUE Mini (Binis need not apply) owner.

What do you think South Wales Minis ?, I'm sure we could pull it off.
