Obviously a hypothetical question but.....
If on one of our planned runs, Some Binis turned up and wanted to follow along, what would your reaction to them be?

Id let them follow along at the back, and go down the narrowest lanes we could find at a sensible true mini pace... No point in causing arguments... let the cars do the talking.. lol...

I'd say Hello, Do you realise you are driving a fake ? ;D ;D Nah, to be honest I don't know what I would say, it's bmw I don't like, not the bini owners, I think we have seen that there are bad apples in both the classic and bini scene I'll sit on the wall on this one lol ;D

Maybe in the spirit of mini 50 and sheer alround friendlyness i`d let em tag along at the back......and then spend every moment possable telling them the error of their ways and adding a right hook if they disagree!!!!!!

;D ;D I might offer to take them out in the cooper to show them what a real mini is like ( I don't think my mini would have the same effect though )

On a serious note, telling a bini driver that they are not welcome to tag along would not help mini/bini relations, but explaining that there is a big differance between the 2 cars and the only thing in common is the name....
with swm events such as the gower run, i dont think it would be a good idea to have a bini tag along, but only as this is a meet for the club.....as for a run to a show or something like the pembroke run, letting them join the convoy wouldnt be too bad....public relations an all that... ;D

i know BMW have caused alot of annimosity but alot of BINI drivers are no better with their attitudes towards classic owners. obviousely ( does not mean all BINI drivers ) but majority so far up their own backsides it hard to tell where 1 starts + 1 finishes sure some BINI lover will have something to say but that my personel opinion + if they don't like it then TUFFFFFFFFFFFF

I have time for Bini owners that obviously appreciate classics be it a flash/wave/letting us out at junctions or for them to have a nose over your car at a show.... like Boycie said, not all of them are the tools that they keep in the boot. I will however, point out, they are sissy girls for choosing the 'safer/comfier/quieter' option... lol. ;D

I hate being made to feel wrong for not appreciating the BINI. I mean, if I was a Man United supporter, would I also then be made to feel wrong for not also supporting Liverpool and trying to make friends with their supporters or whatever? No, each to their own and I hate the BINI and have no time for it at all.

Wasn't there a clip on a thread the otherday that showed that Bini's explode, so if they tag along be it at a safe distance I have enough imperfections on my mini as it is without bini shrapnel imbedded in my mini and the side of my head.

If they want to tag along then so be it, they obviously have an affinity for the mini or they wouldn't ask. It doesn't mean they're all the same tho does it?

I was talking to a female Bini owner yesterday, and when she saw my car she squeeled ooh have you seen my mini. ( bini )
quite a few bini owners dont realise the difference and think its just a newer model..
BUT when they start slagging our classics off like my old mate Aston then i see red..

Yes and nearly all the BINIS I see about are being driven by women. You'd have thought they'd have better taste? ;D
