Well the Equinox has just arrived and I must say I am well impressed. I will need a few patches on the inner sills for the next MOT but it has a ticket till november so it will be on the road when it has the engine changed. I have spent some time this evening removing the wiring and pipework associated with the injected engine and I now have to sort out a modified loom to run the non injection 998 goldseal sitting on the garage floor. The car is clean with a stunning interior and already has alloy gearknob and handbrake lever. There are a few snobs of rust under the screen and the rear valance will prob be replaced at some point but overall it is a clean car. Another number plate for the collection. Haha. Piccys....................... Front Rear Side Badge Seats

Think you had a brilliant buy there mate might be easier to change the whole loom rather than modify the current one, ( the spi loms are a nightmare )

With the rip, I'll just try to patch it from behind and blend it in, it has only done 65k (alright I know it's got no engine haha) but the interior has worn well.

I have decided to rip out the injection loom and fit a non injection item to sort out the engine. Also this should allow me to recoup a little bit of the cost by selling the loom / ecu / throttle body and manifold / fuel tank with pump and level sensor / inertia switch / fuel relays and fuse box / pancake filter housing and alarm and fob basically everything but the exhaust manifold and lambda sensor as the last owner kept them. Should recoup the best part of £200 on ebay as a new bare tank from sommerfords is £175 Been up for an hour and removed the tank, dug out another 7.5 gallon one ready to go back in, I'll give that a quick once over tomorrow with black hammerite smooth and a little bit of a rub down. Then I will be removing the loom completely and laying a new draw wire through the headlining to fish in the loom when I get one. I also trial fitted the group 5 arches and they look the dogs but they're gonna take some filling! Has anyone got a loom they wanna sell?
