Some scum tried to pinch Corina's cooper from her works today Luckily they only damaged the lock, and didn't get in, but they stole a work mates scooter that was parked along side instead

Sorry to hear that and yes some people deserve a public hanging.
I bought a new set of lock barrels for my Mini from Mini Spares. That was several years back though and their still working fine and it's not a difficult task fitting them.
I could probably have saved the old ones as I think it was just the loose star washer that held the barrel in place that was to blame on the drivers door lock.

Looks like they tried again today when I was in work, there is a massave hole now underneath the handle. Phil has just gone and bought an alarm. They must have been disturbed otherwise 2 more minutes and it would have gone.

That is bad news and I can remember a few years back when someone made a hole beneath the door handle on a family members 98' Mini Paul Smith LE. I won't say any more about how they got the door open, as the forum appears to be open and viewable by anyone without having to log in again. But the alarm frightened them off anyway.
