Well on Saturday I went to close the garage door (garden side) and I could hear a gang of youngsters talking, shouting and swearing in the lane. So I wasn't too happy about it and therefore I opened the shutter and eye balled them. They were sitting on the pavement further up the lane. So I put the garage lights on, switched the radio on and fetched a shovel and started tidying up the muck from the rain channel outside. Anyway they obviously didn't like the sound of my scraping shovel and so they got up and started walking down the lane. I might be daft, but I don't feel intimidated by teenagers and so I had my back to them. As they walked past one of them said 'nice Mini mate' and I just replied 'thanks and yes it is'. As they were still walking away, one of them who had a rat face asked if he could take it for a spin and I just pointed out 'oh yes, over my dead body you can'. I didn't say it nasty or anything, no I was totally civil like. Anyway they laughted about something and the youngest said, 'did you hear that'. So I said 'heard what?' and he said that the rat faced one had said something like 'well come here and I'll effing kill you then'. So I just laughed and said, 'okay then come on then and I'd love to see you try'. But they just kept on walking down the lane anyway. To be honest most of the youngsters aren't too bad around here anyway. Although I was worried in case they'd break into our garage or something then.

The security men in Tesco's told me to park it where the cameras are, but that didn't make any difference.
I have already told Phil I won't be taking my mini to work anymore, I will see if I can get a lift off someone living around here, even with an alarm I won't trust it there anymore. I will be a total wreck in work thinking someone could steal it, so I won't take that risk again.

that probably wouldn't work, you'd be surprised how many purple cars are driven around by blokes in cruises, they'd probably drive around in a pink car just to milk the irony... =/
