mines give this rusty transit another coat of hammerite smooth then paint all the black bits out with black hammerite! fit a new (ish) rear bumper, buy new wheel trims for it, service it,(good for another 150k, ) fit a new fan belt, then cut the sills off the clubby ,, ;D

Well I hope to carry out an oil change on our Mini over the weekend. I've got some Duckhams Q Classic 20W/50 in, plus a Unipart oil filter and so I just need to get on with it.
I also want to connect our video recorder up to my computer (I've got the necessary leads and stuff), so I can then copy and convert a few precious things to DVD.
If I manage to suss it out, one precious thing is a rare 1969 short film called 'Vive Le Sport' and it's about 2 groovy Mini Skirt gals driving all over Europe in a brightly coloured MKII Mini Cooper S.
I think it's a kind of half hour advert for Dunlop Tyres really, although I kind of see it as a psychedelic acid version of 'Thelma & Louise', but with a happy/funny ending.
Anyway if it does work, then I'll try and upload it to YouTube. But 'Gannet Films' the film company (who I contacted some time ago and received a reply) really should get this out on DVD now, with a host of extra features and a free model of that Mini Cooper S.
;D

Good to hear that Jamie's car is running now and I still haven't started the oil change on mine yet. No I've spent all day fiddling about with my computer, trying to find a way of copying video's. I just connected up my analogue camcorder and I managed to get it playing via my PC, but I'm unable to actually record anything. What I have worked out is the fact I need an 'analogue capture device', which is the right wires with a little converter box thingy and the right software. But the trouble is they vary in prices and the revues on many are putting me off because some say they work great, where as others say they sent theirs back for a refund as they were rubbish etc. I'm also using Vista which also adds to the problems and confusion. I dunno, I just want to be able to copy VHS tapes and stuff off my old video camera. The other option is to buy a new digital video camera and then connect up my old analogue video camera or video recorder to that, because that will do the necessary digital converting. Why is everything so damned confusing.
