anyone help me out with this one

i recently bought a long awaited plug and play ecu for the mini (SPI) which if some of you know the MEMS ecu was unprogramable, apart from fitting a piggy back unit which was more or less the only mod you could get

anyway 3 nice german chaps had found away of making one and went on sale earlier this year great i said and bought one,

i new it would need to be programed so i excepected a set up disc to come in the box along with the ECU but no nothing so the next day sent a few emails to KEITH CALVER ( mini magazine ) who has the rights to sell these, to find out what needs to be done

reply was a couple of web pages in what needed to be downloaded which i done ( sort of ) and that was it so unless you are a pc boffin (which i am not) and knows how to input the info on the car that is needed from the start then maybey you could install this mod and tune it.

so basically what i am asking is CAN ANYONE DO THIS FOR ME PLEASE

i will pay for any help thanks

If nobody here knows, then you could try asking on the 'Injection Mini Specific' (under 'Problems, Questions and Technical') section of 'The Mini Forum': -

Although don't bother getting too involved there, as the mods only care about BINI bashing threads these days and everything else (like bullying, abuse and general nastiness) goes.

just looked and the system is called ums which i had never heard of, i'll do some research and try advise how you go about setting it up, cant promise any thing tho as i'd not even heard of it until 10 min ago

ta mate, if you have a look in december mini magazine (keith calver) there is a artical on it there, also keith is the one selling them

made some headway on finding someone to sort this out

phil gave me a link to a guy in llandow called 'GOTBOOST' nice guy very helpfull very clean setup he has down there too

so looks like i will be booking it in for a tune once i come back off hols :-)
