hi all i have a mini shortywhich is going to have a 998 engine and the last person made the section the grille screws to and the bonnet one piece. but if i put a grill on, it will hit the bumper and crack the paint when it flips forward.
can i smooth the front end and have no grille? add more fans?

I would make sure there is some venting there, might have some trouble with cooling otherwise Just double checked the pics, if the bonnet is fixed, how do you get to the engine bay? it doesnt look like a flip front in the pics

No grille would be different
What about a few holes with small mesh behind them?

i know this sounds sacrilage but you see where the grille ends are and there not part of the flip up bonnet. why not (tidyly) cut a grill in 3 so the middle section moves with the bonnet/flippy thing, and the two sides stay on the front panel? just an idea.

i was thinking of a idea close to that but i am going for a smooth front end with the word "MINI" as cut outs with mesh behide to allow some air flow

I have an old grill here made out of a sheet of metal, with a few holes drilled in it . you can have it to play about with if you want it
