the brakes failed! , big time! so i headed for the nearest soft thing, ( a ford ka) with the rear wheels locked) screeching to a halt, missed it by millimeteres! while pumping the brakes like mad, they were down to the floor boards! major brown trouser moment! the brake pipe serving the nearside front wheel burst right in the middle of the front subby!, it was corroded! heres the state of play today! and i just taxed him so i nicked a new brake pipe off flubber!

my guess is they missed it, it was only a pin hole, but jesus, brake pedal to the floor! i dident spot it ether! untill it was too late!, lucky, real lucky mate! my choices were stone wall, 4*4 or a ford ka up the ass end! the ka won!

Glad there was no damage mate thats one of the worst pipes to go too as it's a pain in the arse to change.. cheers guys,, and yes it is a pain to fit, i tryed most of the evening im gonna have to strip the arm off the clutch tommorow so i can get my hands in there, to get the bolt in the union where the pipes split to each wheel, it looks like the pipe retainer clip on the centre front was loose, and the pipe had been rattling around in there for the last 20 odd years
