I fitted new pads and discs on the fronts maybe 3 weeks ago. standard brakes from minispares and MY GOD ARE THEY DUSTY !!! i literally have to clean it off every day its that bad. Maybe some fancier pads are going on it next time. EBC rubbish oh yeah .. had my first real experience of brake fade the other day hammering it from maesteg to port talbot lets just say i was rather clenched to say the least ;D

Yep you're not alone, both me and boycie have recently aired the same complaint. Keep an eye on the level of meat on them too, they wont last long Rubbish imo, hardly any improvement over standard, and they make hell of a mess constantly

So is your Mini equipped with EBC Greenstuff pads then? Because mine has had a set fitted for a few years now and they've been nothing short of excellent. Virtually no brake dust and no brake fade either, even when seriously ragging it over the Bwlch mountain here in taffyland.

I've got EBC black stuff pads and standard discs on mine and they are generally good. I have had fade from them a few times driving like an idiot down the back lanes but whats the handbrake for . I've been told the green stuffs aint that good that's why I didnt get them on mine. I've had them before on other cars, they were all right I guess.

Well I've driven up, across and down the Bwlch and Rhigos mountains like an idiot in my Mini (not that often though.......honest, but I couldn't let that big ugly BMW thing win) and I've not had any problems with the Greenstuff pads. I can remember I used to quite easily cook the bog standard Unipart or whatever pads, but not Greenstuff.........yet. ;D
