The Other 1969 Groovy Mini Cooper S Film

Since 'The Italian Job' is celebrating it's 40th anniversary this year with a new Blu-Ray release, I thought it was about time this other 1969 Mini Cooper S film got an airing, because it's always been something of a rarity: -

Yes it's that short comedy classic film that you've probably never heard of called 'Vive Le Sport' and this 1969 British short comedy film is about the holidaying adventures of two groovy babes who travel across Europe in a brightly coloured Mini Cooper S, whilst their being pursued by shady men who are trying to recover a 35mm film roll that was hidden beneath one of the spot lamp covers on the Mini.

I've managed to upload it all on my MySpace account with a little compressing, but I may also upload it to my YouTube account after I've split it into several parts.

So yes that fancy analogue video capture converter thingy (EZ Grabber) got delivered by Amazon and works. At least I'm now able to record video on to the PC, even though it's nowhere near as good as DVD, it's still watch able anyway.

Well, at least I managed to get it to work on my daughters laptop (which has Vista Home Basic). But my Acer desktop PC (which has Vista Home Premium) refused to read the software disc and just spat it out when I tried to persevere.

So why won't it work on my computer?

Anyway, having it loaded up on the laptop is fine, as I can easily hook the laptop up to our Panasonic VCR and then the EZ Grabber does the rest.

So expect a few more archive Mini video's to surface over the next few months, because I think I've still got a few rarities on tape that need backing up and burning to DVD.

So would someone like to provide a film revue? After all I bust a gut copying and uploading a piece of classic British cinema featuring a Mini and nobody cares?

Well I'll have to upload the film that features a Mini filled with naked girls next as that's sure to get a response.

I've not got a film like that, but I do have a camcorder that will now connect to my PC thanks to the EZ Grabber and so I just need to bribe a few local slappers that's all.

Well okay, it is quite shocking seeing ladies driving a Mini Cooper S so effectively. Shocking because they really should be at home doing the dishes or the ironing etc.

We were doing a spot of gardening, but gave up because it was so hot.

We were gutted we couldn't join you guys, but we're a bit buggered now being a family of 5. Although Marie has suggested that she'd sit in the back of the Mini with our two eldest and then the baby could sit in the baby seat up front and I'd drive.

Although I think our poor Mini would have a nervous breakdown.

Mind you I lied about not having a film featuring nudes in a Mini, as we have all 'The Pink Panther' films on DVD (the classic ones featuring Peter Sellers anyway) and the 1964 2nd outing for Inspector Clouseau called 'A Shot In The Dark' features both him and a blonde completely naked in his Mini: -

Well it's clearly a very early MKII Cooper S, since it's fitted with the grease nipple radius arm shrouds? Does anyone know any more about this car?
