Well that and the fact some numpties can contact the DVLA and play silly buggers stating that the vehicle has been sold or whatever?
At least that's the response I got when I posted pictures of Minis showing their number plates several years ago on the pure hell forum that is 'Minifinity'. One of the plebbs there had a right go at me, which was nothing new as the guy was an absolute pratt anyway.
So I got into the habit of removing the number plate prefixes if the photo's weren't being shown on a closed forum.
It is a right pain, but if it makes things safer then so be it. But I can't see it being totally safe since your number plate is on show every time you drive your Mini anyway?
