hi all after poking around and having a look to see about changing to electronic ignition, i have found out that my car has a ducellier distributor, i have been told that it should be using a lucas one? is this correct its a 1991 mini city 998cc if that helps if so does any one have any idea which one i need? thanks Jamie

personally id stick with lucas, why? coz there as cheap as chips and original, even on 60 minis, says it all, i like points and plugs mainly because i can fix or change them for pennys

Ducellier dizzy's don't have a great reputation (their not quite as good as Lucas), but their identified by the fact they have the condenser fitted on the outside.
I believe Rover tended to fit them from around the mid 1980's, when they ran short of Lucas jobs.
But saying that a family member once owned a 1985 Mayfair with a Ducelier dizzy and that was fine.
