I'm not because I watched the re-runs on S4C. But aren't the Yanks just wonderful, they've managed to make the remake look just as predictably boring and dull as everything else they rip-off. I mean, just where is Portmeirion or the Mini Mokes?

Much more than just us really, because I watched a documentary show about it and they claimed that back when it first got aired, there were lots of complaints due to the fact the final episode made no sense and so viewers were very confused. So 'ITC' sent the viewers a document explaining what it all meant and what exactly had occurred during the final episode. I believe that document made no sense either and it was just pure fantasy that was off it's face and just symbolic or whatever. No doubt the American version will see the NEW 'NUMBER 6' escape the village, beat up lots of people, get the girl and then drive off into the sunset shouting 'God Bless America'. Well most seem to do that anyway, including Sylvester Stallone's rubbish remake of 'Get Carter'.

Just watch the link showing the 9 minute preview above and it definitely looks like they've wrecked it. We visited Portmeirion back in the Summer of 1995 (we had the same Mini back then, but only the one kiddie at the time) and it looked just the same as it did on the TV show. There's a special 'Prisoner' gift shop which sells all kind of memorabilia including those 'Rover' (Orange Patrol) balloons. But they were damned expensive and easily popped apparently so we didn't buy one, although I've still got the stuff I did buy from the shop that day. But yes it's definitely worth a visit as the architecture is amazing and the beach is great too. We may pay the place another visit one day. Definitely if/when we're up that way again. Oh and it was also very sunny the day we were there too (strange), but there were no Mini Mokes about though unfortunately.

Yes Portmeirion is beautiful and I wouldn't feel like a Prisoner living there, because it feels like paradise.

ooooh i wanna go!!
i want the big bouncing ball thing!! lol can they really be that expensive?? although i guess they'd exploit the fact that everyone like me would want one and therefore hike the price up :/

Well those balloons weren't cheap Amy (assuming their still available now, in which case their likely to be double the price of what they were in 1995?). It is a nice place to be on a sunny day, but it's a long old drive up there though.
