But yes, money talks unfortunately and I do wonder that if Issigonis was still around, would BMW have been able to buy his opinion on the BINI?

I just can't imagine him saying how it was just the car that he'd create today and how it was a fitting successor (like they tried to say when their hatchback was first launched).

I'd imagine BMW would have to buy one hell of a train set and meccano kit to get him to lie through his teeth.

All things considered it's just as well he got cremated too.

Well I bought a similar book with a BINI on the cover from a book shop in McArthur Glen, Bridgend.

Mainly because it came in a set with a Mini DVD and the majority of the content related to the real Mini.

Plus the set only cost us £2.99, so I didn't mind taking a gamble.

But there's plenty more Mini books out there to choose from which feature the real thing.
