The car hasnt been right for a while. but changed the condenser and big improvement..

The problem is, I cleaned the carb before changing the condenser, and just cant get it running right now....

I need to use choke to get anywhere, last week I had to use choke to get the revs up then i could push coke in and carry on driving....

I adjusted the mixture this weekend and the idle and it seemed fine, in neutral it would rev cleanly all through the range..

BUT got in this morning and it is worse, it will tick over when cold with no choke ( never used to do this )

but also it splutters and will not rev cleanly without choke, all the way to work (6-7 miles) with the choke out it revs nicely, but as soon as i push choke in it splutters...

Please someone wave a magic wand and fix this as it is doing my napper in...

what did you clean it with ?

maybey the jet has got a bit of dirt in it, since cleaning it has now settled and the dirt has clogged the jet

mite not work but worth a try, take the jets out and wash and blow them out dry also have a look at the one in the float chamber

Needle seems fine, float chamber all seems fine, good flow of fuel and shuts off when float chamber full...

I've managed to use the car for work but still not right. ( lots of choke )

week off from today so it will be sorted shortly.

hopefully take it to have the carb set up properly... mixture etc..

Small gradual adjustments and I think i've got it cock on... took it for a good spin and its pulling nicely through all the gears about bloody time..lol
