if any one with an mpi/spi finds them selves broken down on the side of the road at silly o'clock in the morning like i did tonight .. CHECK the fuel cut off switch! it will save you allot of time waiting for the recovery truck and you wont look a prize "censored" luckily i remembered and checked before the truck arrived thank god, my sister wernt impressed that i got her out of bed etc to come find me

I had this before in swansea hit a pot hole and pull up at lights and it cut off. so i had to push it down part of kinsway ring the rac and then found the clicky button under the bonnet and all was well again

cattle grids are usually a favourite for it aswell best thing we ever done was go back to carbs + doing away with cut off switch

could you not extend the wires and route it to under the dash? that way if it splutters you can give it a quick press?
they sound quite gay though tbh... lol.

How come though other cars don't have this problem, though not many cars have as many problems as the mini
