As some of you will remember i've had a problematic clutch on the Beige one and having changed everything except the clutch hose i decided to rip the old one out before the trip to Longbridge, just in case it played up again. I bought one of those braided Goodridge replacements and the clutch is now working beautifully. Nice and light. Heres the old hose cut through the middle. It's no wonder the pedal was so stiff, the innards of the hose had more or less closed up, probably through age..

It could well be 41 years old LJ. The age of the Mini.
