My dad is trying to change the wheel bearing on the MPI and we can't get the stupid wheel nut caps off...
their really jammed on there and refuse to come off and we don't really want to damage the rim trying to get them off....
suggestions?

Is the chrome caps? I had a similar problem before and had to chop them off with a small chisel / screwdriver

why are you taking the caps off?? was about to ask the same a 11/16" socket fits perfect, but any other size will damage the cap unless you mean the cap on the locking wheel nut?

If the wheel nut covers are damaged (easily done as their just tin covers and their not supposed to come off), then if you do remove the covers, try using the locking wheel nut key over the nut.
It worked for me as the nut beneath the tin cover is an odd size.
I'd then invest in replacements and only use a wheel brace with a 11/16" socket.

apparently they got damage by some numpty that fixed a slow puncture in the garage using an air ratchet thing on them, so they were out of shape so the sockets wouldn't fit them which is why they had to come off. think replacements will be needed after seeing them..

Yes don't let the tyre monkeys use their air ratchets on them, that'll damage them for sure.
The right size wheel brace is all you need.
