whilst driving car up a hill last weekend I thought i saw some smoke coming from the front vents ( windscreen)
but once over the hill it cleared and thought no more about it.

Then yesterday driving home same thing again, but no smell to it, not burning ..

then this morning shake rattle & roll... without the shake..

Huge smokescreen behind me, hell of a rattle from the engine when pushed.. but when driven normally no smoke or rattle...

got it through the works gate's and think i heard the rad screaming for water.... ( you know the sound ?)

too dark to check anything now, have to wait for breakfast..

update,
I "think" it overheated, and was knocking due to the heat.... it took 2ltrs of water and there is no visble contamination in oil or water.
started fine, puff of smoke as normal..

revved nicely and heaters got warm with no knocking or smoke / steam.

gonna run it longer lunchtime see if anything else develops...

took it for a spin lunchtime and no probs,

hammered it home and no over heat or sign of smoke...

think it was just a case of not checking the water and it overheating..... fingers crossed...

oh.it was dehydrated.leave it a bowl of water out before you go to bed :-)
