pulled up at keats after the pembs run, had a coffee, merlin turned over really slow and refused to start, so we bumped him in reverse, ta keats  keats couldent rev merlin  it turned out the sheath,(outer cable) had welded its self to the inner cable  and the starter was nackered) so we stanley knifed the outer sheath off the inner cable, and rigged merlin to get me home, (throttle cable) hes been a very naughty boy! new throttle cable on order, and i,l nick a starter off one of the spare engines! it was like driving a cruise control mini on the way home lol, lifting off the throttle by pulling it up with your toes, lol, got me home tho!!!!  ;D  , just!  |

I still defend Merlin here, it was the pos throttle cable - crap!!! yeah the engine cool-ed and it just glued together with the nipples both ends of the cable stopping the inner cable from moveing, and the starter packed up aswell, merlin dont do things by halfs, got him home tho! ! |

you know me + my capri's mate ( oh should i say like you crapie ;D ), virtually identical to my 1st ever car except that 1 was'nt all different car parts bodged together like mine was. spent 4 out of the 6 months i had it pushing it but still have it back today |

you know me + my capri's mate ( oh should i say like you crapie ;D ), virtually identical to my 1st ever car except that 1 was'nt all different car parts bodged together like mine was. spent 4 out of the 6 months i had it pushing it but still have it back today theres a devil with a blue oval inside you lol , same as me mate, i love fords, but merlins the best and nemo too , my cortina mk3 wont stop, its scary to diive but i love him |
