Hi Guys & Girls, I'm after some help with the correct position for the twin side stripes for the mini cooper (need dimension from top crease line of door to top of stripe?) and the distance from edge of wing it starts? to the distance from the edge of the rear steel covers to sticker it ends? Also can you also confirm the position of the Mini Cooper Decal form the top crease line to the center of the decal? and the rear end of the steel cover on the wing to the center of the Mini cooper decal? I know it sounds a bit sad, but I'd like to put the twin stripes and Mini cooper side decals's in the correct position. If anyone has this information or knows of a site it is on? please could you let me know. As I've been looking for a Mini Cooper to measure and take photo's of and I can't find one. Its always the same, when you want one you can't find one, so if you own a Mini Cooper and you are in the Swansea area, don't be surprised if you see someone measuring the position of the Mini Cooper Decal's and twin pinstripe. Thanks Steve - Almost finished his 3rd mini off.

*waits for taffy to tell us the position within 0.001" * ;D Aye don't be cheeky and I really haven't got a clue. Mind you I do remember reading a few threads about the correct measurements on the 'specialist Mini forums'. Okay it was on the RSP Cooper LE section, but I'd assume the measurements will be much the same for all Rover Mini Coopers anyway? So after doing some digging about I found those old threads and this is what they claim: - The side stripe dimensions on a Rover Mini Cooper are '2x3mm with 2mm gap'.Where as the measured location of the side Mini Cooper decal is: - ' The centre of the sticker is half an inch to the rear of the window frame. The top is half an inch below the "crease" in the body. The pinstripes stop half an inch in front of the sticker.'
Plus I came across this information too: - 'The stickers for the rear 3/4 panels have dual pinstripes running from the stripe to the front wing and are about 2 inches (50mm) from the headlight rims'.Hope that helps.

Thanks Guys, For all your help, nice to see an engineer still working in English not metric, as although I now have to work in metric, my head still goes back to my old days as an apprentice toolmaker and works in English (.001") I can't help myself when it comes it getting things in the right position, its just something that is drummed into you as a young apprentice. But if anyone has a nice photo of the decal position for the cooper, showing the side decals and the rear boot? then that would be of great help. As I want to ensure I get it right, as I will never live it down, after all this trouble I put everyone to. I just can believe the Internet didn't have this information.
Thanks Steve. ;D

Here's one I found on that 'Specialist Mini Forum': - Which came with this comment: - Plus: - Also: - As for the boot, if it's a fuel injection Mini then it would have a badge. But if it's a carb powered 1990 RSP Cooper LE (or a carb powered 1990/91 Mainstream Mini Cooper) then it will have the same type of 'Mini Cooper' laurel decal on the boot lid as fitted to each side of the car. These links on this dedicated RSP Cooper LE website may help?: - www.rsp-cooper-register.co.uk/The_S_Pack.htmwww.rsp-cooper-register.co.uk/buyers_guide.htmPlus there's another helpful guide to be found there too: - Finally check out the many documents relating to the 1990/91 Mainstream Mini Cooper here, as they may prove helpful too: - www.mainstreamcooper.co.uk/

Thanks Taffy,
You have been of great help to me, when I'm in the right mood? and have plucked up enough courage I'll put them on.
Thanks Steve ;D
