Took the head off to lap the valves and change the gasket and noticed my little 'standard' 998 it's has had a +20 thou rebore, what does that bring it up to ?

Oh yeah !! thats practically a 2litre jokes. I dont htink i would have overbored it +20 if i had done it myself, at leas +40 to make a decent improvement ah well ... each to their own

I dont htink i would have overbored it +20 if i had done it myself, at leas +40 to make a decent improvement ah well ... each to their own to be honest a rebore on a 998 wont make any noticeable difference on a road car, may gain only a few bhp on a track car mines +40 and thats really the limit when you hit +60 there can be head gasket problems

Probably just been rebored due too wear. Still means theres some more life left in your engine. Good times.

Very good times indeed having the head done this weekend then the car should be back on the road by mid next week... polished the gearbox and the engine and engine bay is spotless. will post some pics when i can.
