I think you better check under the seat too Irish Stig ;D Taffy mentioned a head on bump on quarry, just checked youtube it it is on there, looks like I got off lightly Yes that's the one we saw and it was gutting, everyone was horrified. Both drivers got out and shook hands, although one of the drivers was limping a bit. The driver of the black Mini is a member of Newport Mini Club and he's the one with track cover, so he should be alright. I also heard that the other driver is going to claim off him, so they'll both probably be alright and get their Minis fixed.

It was a fantastic day, the weather was perfect and I didn't want to go home either. Fancied loads of things, but I only bought a set of spare wheels nuts, a pack of Haynes Mini playing cards in a tin, a classic Mini poster and an IMM Magazine (thanks for pointing out where to get it from Dai). But then I do need to keep the cash to get mine rust proofed, which I hope to do this week. I took quite a few pictures which I'll try and upload today and I got a couple of snaps of Merlin going around the track, although it was from that bridge thing half way along the track as I couldn't get up to Quarry Corner in time. Anyway I couldn't believe how few BINIs were present, both in the paddock and on the track. Plus just how many real Minis there were, so roll on next year.

Mind you I do hope to take our Mini next year (I'll have to try and put the kids of going or something though), especially since Marie drove there and hadn't put enough petrol in. So on leaving Castle Combe she asked where's the nearest filling station and I could only think of Aust Services by the 1st Severn Bridge crossing. Well we ended up heading for Bath because I knew there'd be a filling station along the way which would be closer. But as luck would have it there'd been some major accident further up the road and the Police were sending everyone down a country lane. I was then getting visions of calling out the AA whilst we crawled along with the with fuel gauge low fuel warning lamp flashing like crazy. Luckily once we got on the main road we found a Texaco garage and due to all the stress I bought a few cans of beer to chill out with on the way home. I don't know, women. Just what can you do with them? Mine can't service the Mini (or even put air in the tyres), nor ensure the car has enough fuel. Mind you she does make nice cakes and knows her way around a washing machine. ;D

Took me a while! but managed to get up all of my pics. Took 285 all together!!! but had to delete most of them because they had gone blurry because I couldn't zoom in close enough and I've never taken photos of moving objects before Still though! I saved a few! sorry there's not more of the club stand etc etc but I was running around the track and traders most of the day ;D www.flickr.com/photos/peter-ebenezer/sets/72157622343502101/

He seemed pretty chuffed to be honest! He has been chasing us about at all the previous Malvern's to try and get a pic but usually we've left before they've had chance to ask a steward or whatever if they can move the car. No problem Danny, sling me a PM with your email address on and I'll send it tonight (its only 900kb so hardly worth dumping it on the site)
