My PS3 is being fixed atm though so won't be on for awhile. Will be playing mainly Modern Warfare 2 when it arrives, and Operation Flashpoint : Dragon Rising.

Im really considering getting one...but no games really take my fancy other than Little Big Planet and Little Big Planet 2...  lol. Only reason im considering it is because I can chuck a 1tb HDD in it, connect it to my pc and download my torrents straight to it making it a Hi-Def media Server (which aparently they are very good at) ;D Also DVD Upscaling would be nice... lol. |

Coedy,
You would be better installing ubuntu or Yellow Dog linux onto it.
My first PS3 i did this and ran it as a media server/Tinternet Hot Box!
I only put a 250GB Sata into my first one but my second one i have got a 500GB 7200RPM Sata. They say you shouldnt run 7200rpm because of the overheating issues but i have not encounted anything as yet. Games dont really load much faster but a slight improvement on internet browsing and general running of PS3.
Modern Warfare 2 is going to be amazing!
Its so worth getting a PS3 for just little big planet though and GTI Club where of course you get to race round in a Classic Mini Cooper!

GTI Club is awesome.
Keep in mind if you do intend to install a linux distro to the PS3 that you need an old "fat" model. The Slims do not have an "Install other OS" option anymore.

Yeah, seeing as I dont want to spend mega-bucks on something I'd hardly ever use Id probably get an old 40gig pre-owned from somewhere when I fancy trying it out... lol.
Good point though, I hadn't realised that...
