If I put a roll cage in my un-supped up 998? I'm really paranoid about rolling it one day.

cosmetic cages are silly... proper ones make sense and are allowed in an 850 if you want If im ever in the situation I plan on laying down across the passenger seat ;D

It would a proper one coedy. 100% BRITISH steel. None of this made in china business for me.
Ha what if there was a clinically obese person sitting next to you? Actually, you wouldnt need to worry if that were the case......it wouldnt roll but if it did, they'd support the roof. haaah.

Unless you have buckets, harness' and plan on wearing a helmet they can actually be more harmfull than good, chances of rolling your mini to the extent of crushing is very slim compared to fracturing your skull on the roll cage in a smaller incident They do look cool though

You'd also need to check it out with your insurers though, because many won't insure a car fitted with a roll cage as they just assume you're more likely to drive it more recklessly.

Well surely they look on it as 'serious injury/loss of life' less likely.

Remember that Mini's have a book price of under £300 so that's all you'll get as payout unless you have agree'd value if its written off (written off = £151 worth of damage).
Then remember that if they find out you have anything different to what youve told them they can invalidate your entire insurance meaning you've been paying for nothing.
Thats why I tell them EVERYTHING. sent them off a 3page of A4 summary of mods at the start of my insurance.
So as Taffy said, check first, buy last.

My insurance wouldnt insure me but you dont have to tell them I didnt tell them anything but everyones different Best of luck should you ever need to make a claim. To be honest I even told mine that I'd fitted chrome washer jets just in case. Either way they'll use any little excuse not to pay out in the event of a claim. So don't give them an excuse as we're all paying far too much for car insurance as it is.
