I couldn't help but fell a bit down from the comments in the Cefn Coed Xmas thread today

While I totally understand Brivin's frustration at the lack of members showing up I think Boycie's reply was spot on. Personally I messed up, I honestly thought it was on Sunday and Myself and Jamie were both looking forward to the day, It's always been a great day out.

My main point of this post is that lots of members have commented to me over the last few months that things have been really quiet on here, i can hardly argue with them as things have gone really slow, I know we have had a very hard year, the hassle with the idiots last Xmas, staff members leaving and then the idiots from that other club trying to cause hassle. But we have survived it all and managed to get through it. I browse most on line forums every day, and we seem to be fairing better than most, That is because we are fortunate to have an amazing core base of members who sign on most days to see what is happening, not everyone will post, but as long as we are attracting everyone back then we must be doing something right.
The challenge now is to get as many posts a day as possible, leave the trouble's of the year behind us and move on.

We will never be able to please everyone, I know that from experiance But iI am sure if those that truly love the club ans want to make it a success rather than see it as a chance to bost thier ego's work hard,We will all be able to make these meets more attrative to everyone and the turn out will be better


Sorry for the rant, just needed to get it off my chest.

We had a great fun atmosphere on here and it's about time we got that back, then hopefully we can make sure that meet days like today never happen again

all the car/van clubs are quiet at the mo, its winter, the weather is c--p, were all working 24/7 coz its xmas comming up, and out getting prezzies for loved ones, its just the way it is at the mo, not just for our club, but all car /van clubs,,
its not an exclusive swm thing,
roll the start of the season, ;D ;D ;D the red hot is mot,d till july! cupid not stupid, we gotta have a swm track day??? even if its time trial not direct racing?
as i know theres some real nice cars in the club,, im up for it! phil, bring your nappies this time mate lol,,

Another Saint-David's run would be cool! that was a great day out! Trouble is its getting a bit cold and Icy to be helling around country back roads in convoy..

none of us want to bend our pride and joy on an outing, the minis weve spent an arm and a leg on to go galavanting in the freezing cold, not to mention the salt! , i dident make it to cefn coed, get over it, as im always there at 99% of shows, even in a stinking tranny van if need be! ;D, im dont feel guilty one bit, minis locked up in the garages, and there not comming out to play untill the sun shines! ;D ;D ;D minis are my fun cars, i love em, hence (FUN) cold and misted up windscreens, crap heaters,(they are minis) aint fun,

not forgetting the social aspect of things! like the wedding run last year ;D how cool was that, meet members, and a laugh, nothing serious, just show up in a mini ,,suit,, and your welcome with open arms,,

yeah ive been missing the passed few months but ive been busy, got engaged, the minis are still there but its cold at the mo! ,, and its warm inside,,

I also agree that it is a tough time of the year and I've been into the Mini scene since, well that would be telling. But okay the 1st Mini Club I joined was back in 1987 and things always go quiet come Winter.

But come Spring and suddenly everyone wants to buy, restore, fix-up or just drive their Minis and attend Mini events.

Yet thanks to the wonder that is the internet, we can all still keep in touch and remain enthusiastic anyway and long may that continue.
