	Any one can restore a classic but it takes a real man to cut one up

Agree with LJ on this one..
There is another "stripping" method that is being used lately which involves burning the paint etc off the car.
Even with that method i'd be concerned about the larger panels on a Mini being damaged somehow.
There's a firm in Porthyrhyd (between Cross Hands - Carmarthen) that does a Blasting service.
Might be worth a chat with him to see what he recommends. 01267 275316

There's a company in glos somewhere (I think it was) that do the 'Dipping' service.
Dunks the car in huge vats of different ratio acids for you so that things dont get warped.

Think I saw it in practical classics last month when flicking through it in tesco's...

Soda blasting is fine on bodywork and doesn't distort panels. There is one on Frost restorations for about £260 all in and works on something like 80ft/lb and the soda leaves a fine coating on the panels which prevents flash rust..

I had also looked into the dipping / rust proofing but it was going to cost £700 + to dip and prime so you can see what needs doing to repair after this it needs re-dipping and then rust proof etching dip again at around £1200.
